King Dad

Did you know the Illini Dads Association has a long-standing tradition of honoring a father or father figure each year at Dads Weekend? Since 1948, the Illini Dads Association has accepted nominations from students who nominate their father or father figure. One deserving father or father figure is selected and honored at the Illinois football game. Royal treatment awaits the newly crowned King Dad! The winner will receive a free hotel room at the Illini Union, tickets to the Chancellor’s tailgate, football tickets and seats in the Chancellor’s suite at Memorial Stadium, and recognition on the field during half-time. The Illini Dads Association will soon announce the King Dad winner – stay tuned for more information.
